Self-Exclusion — Purpose and effect
Self-exclusion is an applied measure to assist a player in managing their use of the Cwinz online gambling platform. It is not a substitute for personal restraint or responsible decision-making. Activation blocks access to your Cwinz account and prevents marketing communications during the exclusion period.
Eligibility and activation
Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years old and hold an active account on Cwinz. Self-exclusion may be exercised by any account holder who wishes to suspend gambling activity on the platform. You may initiate self-exclusion if you determine that gambling is unacceptable at this time.
Initiating self-exclusion
- Log in to your Cwinz account and navigate to the Self-Exclusion section; or
- Contact our Customer Care team via the Support channels available on the site.
On initiation you select an exclusion period from the options presented. The selected period applies to all services available to the account and cannot be edited or cancelled until it expires.
Duration, renewal and reactivation
The initial exclusion period is determined by the option chosen at activation. Once selected, the period cannot be shortened or removed prior to expiration. On request, the exclusion may be extended by Customer Care for one or more additional periods. Reactivation of the account following the end of the exclusion period may occur automatically, or upon instruction from you to resume activity.
Consequences during exclusion
- You will be blocked from logging in to the Cwinz platform and accessing your account during the exclusion period.
- You will not receive promotional materials or targeted marketing while excluded.
- You must not create a new Cwinz account or attempt to access existing accounts during the exclusion period.
- You may forfeit any pending or future entitlements issued prior to exclusion but redeemable during the exclusion period (for example, entries to events or draws or non-cash prizes).
Financial considerations
If you intend to withdraw funds, you should submit any cash-out requests before the exclusion is activated. Requests submitted during an active exclusion will be treated in accordance with internal policies and may be delayed or declined. Withdrawals are not honored during the exclusion period unless expressly permitted by applicable law or by separate written arrangement.
Cooling-off option
In addition to full self-exclusion, a cooling-off period may be available. You may request a cooling-off period of 24 hours, 1 week, 3 weeks, or 6 weeks. During the cooling-off period, access to the account may be restricted as defined by the platform; after the period ends, the account may automatically reactivate unless you extend or reinitiate exclusion.
Cross-operator self-exclusion
We strongly encourage you to apply self-exclusion across any other gambling operators with which you hold accounts. This reduces the risk of continued play and aligns with responsible-gambling commitments. You should effect each exclusion with the respective operator directly; we will honor a valid self-exclusion instruction received via our processes.
Post-exclusion responsibilities
If the platform determines that continued gambling may cause financial or personal difficulties, it may close or restrict your account. You may not open a new account under the same identity. Any such action is at your own risk and is not the subject of liability on the part of Cwinz.
